KSINC Navigation Training Centre was setup with an objective of training quality people to meet the requirements for qualified and trained personnel for the inland navigation sector. Currently there is no avenue available for structured training for those aspiring for jobs in the inland navigation sector.
The Training Centre conducts a navigation training programme of six month
duration. Objective of the programme is to make the student expert in
handling boats, barges and speed boats. In the programme, the first month
is entirely devoted to theroy classes and the subsequent months have a
combination of theory and practical classes. The students are given ample
hands on training on all kinds of inland vessels and crafts. The students
are also given elementary training in firefighting and life saving techniques.
Capacity of the course is 30 students. Course fee is Rs. 15,000/-. The
student has to bear boarding and lodging expenses if any.
